I have a 2000 Chevy Lumina with an automatic transmission. When the transmission shifts from first to second there is a slight vibration that occurs. This vibration is not consistent however, but will do it when the transmission is either in Drive or Overdrive.Thank you for your input.
1 got fluid? clean,,,full 2 check Cv joints 3 engine tuned up? miss fire can feel like tranny prob or can confuse computer into shifting poorly
Not knowing the mileage or how the car is maintained i will shoot one scenario at you. If the transmission has not been serviced and the oil has many miles on it then this could be the clutches inside are getting glazed and you are feeling a bit of slippage until the pressure builds up and the disk get seated so to speak. If this is correct you may be able to get the tranny serviced with a oil and filter change and all will be good. If the cluthes are actually damaged then you are not far away from a overhaul or replacement.
