You know those lowered Tuner cars with the skirting kits? What do they do about Speed-bumps? Do they have to get out and carry the car over them?
why not make the ramp end in a different location. seems to me it would be much easier, and cheaper

If they would do it it would be costly. The hydrant is hooked directly to the water main. Also the hydrant will be on city property and they would not let you build to where the hydrant is located. To find the edge of your property look for the water shut off valve in front of your house. It is usually located on the property line.
I doubt it, or else I would have had mine moved from out front of our home!
