I am a medic and after seeing one major fire, yes I am like you. I have smoke detectors in key areas and I have two extinguishers in my apartment. I don't think it is weird i just think after you have seen what I fire can do, you become more cautious and respect it more.
Well, no. Here's why. For ANY port to work for remote desktop on the COMPANIES system, the company ROUTER would have to forward the port you opened to YOUR machine. Since it does NOT appear that you are an ADMIN for the company you have no way to make that happen! If you need remote desktop access to your work machine, talk to the network admins, they are the ONLY ones who can set this up to work! PS, if they are blocking ports, there is a reason so don't get into big trouble by finding ways to bypass the security they have in place. Its a good way to get, well, fired!
