Depends on when you draft the guy. I think in some leagues, Belt is overvalued even though I think he will be a stud. Also, he may has more road blocks at the position than the others. If you can get any of these guys towards the end of a draft, Belt probably is your best bet. If you need to sink an earlier pick, I'd go with either Freeman or Smoak because both have positions at the majors already. Between Freeman and Smoak, I'm more tempted to go with Smoak. Although Freeman has a better hitters park, Smoak wouldn't did hit .340 after being recalled last year (although on a very small sample) and has started to hit again after a rough start to spring training. Also, fantasy baseball is extremely fickle and Smoak might be the cheapest out of the group because a lot of people seem to like freeman as a potential sleeper. Furthermore, you just don't know what freeman is going to do and maybe won't realize his potential until going through some very tough growing pains. Granted, Smoak isn't exactly a wise old veteran but has seen more MLB pitching and showed some signs of figuring it out at the end of last year. I'd also suggest considering Brett Wallace because he has been hot during the spring, and Houston probably won't move Carlos Lee to first with the way he's been hitting. Wallace also plays in a park that's more hitter friendly than Smoak and has a bit more experience than Freeman. I think Trumbo is someone that is intriguing but you can pick up during the season because noone is sure when Morales will come back and if Trumbo will have a spot when Morales returns. To give you a more definite answer, I'd probably go: 1) Belt (unless the i need to draft him very early) 2) Wallace 3) Smoak 4) Freeman 5) Trumbo I can't believe Erik Karabell gets paid to discuss this stuff.
