Are there any Celtic metal bands like with bagpipes and stuff, but with metal? Or maybe even just Celtic bands.. like The Kildares I think is their name, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!(And why don't they have a Metal category? What's this Rock/Pop ****?)
Sadly it's not about metal anymore. It's about sub-genres of metal. Nu-metal, death metal, black metal, thrash metal the list goes on. The fact is, metal is metal. Metal is always evolving and always changing (not always for the better), but it's still metal no matter what sub-label you want to give it.
Metal has evolved... Nothing stays the same after 20-30 years. It's about sub-genres of metal. Call Slipknot and System Of A Down whatever you want, but you can't change the fact that they're nu metal, or even alternative metal. I kinda like Slayer but I REALLY HATE true metal bands like Black Sabbah and Led Zeppelin.
oh I agree soo much. I do like soad and Slipknot BUT i don't consider them more metal than Sabbath and Slayer..Nowhere near it! Slayer is like one of the top metal gods. Slipknot is just a subordinate for that god.
yes very sad, System of a Down is viewed as Alternative metal/experimental rock, and Slipknot is viewed as nu metal.and slayer has been viewed as thrash as well as speed metal along with heavy metal, and Sabbath is true heavy metal, but you know. if its good music and you like it doesnt really matter what name you put on it,, if its music and you love it great, sometimes i think everyone get hung up on what type of music they listen to,,,, me i llsten to good music the ones i like the best, just as im sure you do the same
System is more Rock metal. Slipknot is Hardcore, not really metal. and Slayer and Black Sabbath are true metal. well actually you could classify Slayer as Hardcore/Metal
