when would you put your baby into a toddler bed?
My kids went into their toddler bed at 13 months. They were all running by 9 months so I wasn't worried about them getting in and out of the bed. Plus they are not big movers when they sleep so I was comfortable with it at that point.
It's up to you, whenever you feel it's necessary. My son went into his bed at around 15 months old. He's a big boy, and his cot was only a continental size, not a cotbed, so he looked crammed in. He was waking himself up by banging around the cot at night. He now sleeps soundly, has never fallen out. I have found him in funny sleeping positions (the toy box was a good one!) but that's only been once or twice and no big deal.
as long because of the fact the toddler will settle for the toddler mattress, I say leave them in it. it somewhat is a secure place for them to sleep. In a toddler mattress with partial area rails, the youngster continues to be somewhat risk-free yet can go out the mattress each and each time they want. this could make bedtime and nap time a venture! you're hoping to sidestep the fee of two toddler beds, whether it ought to be properly somewhat worth the extra beneficial fee if it supplies you peace of suggestions. Our oldest all started hiking over the realm of his crib at age 8 months and we've been compelled to place him in a conventional mattress. It grow to be a nightmare of having off the mattress and having to be positioned back.
my son is 23 months- he is a good sleeper in his crib- I think I wont put him in a toddler bed until maybe about 2 and a half. My older son was a HORRIBLE sleeper and hated his crib- he went into a bed at 16 months (not a toddler bed) a twin mattress on the floor. I say if they are sleeping well and not making a fuss leave them in the crib.
whenever they are able to crawl out of the crib. my son is 22 months, and still in a crib. i won't put him in a toddler bed until he can crawl out of the crib. the crib just keeps them contained. when they go into the toddler bed, they can get out and start playing with their toys... you can't keep em in bed!
