yes, we have a plan, and we practice it periodically, usually every 3-4 months to make sure kids are familiar We have a 72 hour kid with everything we could possibly need that we can grab in a hurryIt has everything: food and water, cooking utensils, first aid kit, changes of clothes, diapers for the kids, even a tent if we have to find a place to camp for a whileWe have never had any emergency in which we need to use any of that, but once a year or so, we go on an impromptu camping trip taking only our 72 hour kits to see how it does, and then we restock it making any improvements to it that will last us the next year, make sure clothes will fit kids, etc.
