Add your answer What characteristic of UTP cable helps reduce the effects of interference?
1,2, and 3 - you know why. and 4, because the insulation creates distance from any other wires close to it.
Number 4 I think, though it doesn't stop interference 100%, but it helps.
I feel bad for his family For Connor R I P Connor going through cancer at age 8 is difficult he fought hard Best wishes for his family
3. the twisting of the wires in the cable causes a small magnetic field that blocks interference. UTP stands for UNSHIELDED twisted pair. So there is no shielding. no metal braiding no reflective coating and no insulating material (Except plastic which shields nothing but current). Which only leaves number 3.
