My problem is paying for other people's birth control and/or health care costs. People can have abortions to their hearts content and I would not care assuming I do not have to pay for them (or watch).I will naturally think lesser of people for patronizing such a service, but it is their life, not mine.

'Live Cover' is what you are talking about, the natural way, and it is still done. however, it is far more risky and possibly less effective. when a stallion mounts a mare, if he has metal shoes, he can scrape up the mare's back. most mares try to kick the stallions. If your mare or your stallion is valuable, you really don't want to risk it. there is also a risk of STDs in horses same as people. if you do AI, there is usually several vials to use if it didn't catch the first time.
