I am applying to some colleges and I am thinking about being an engineer.I am excellent at math and want to apply it to a career.but i really do not know a lot about engineering what do different types of engineers actually do?????????
I'm going to say noWhen I was small I was advised to put nothing metal in the microwaveStainless steel is no acceptionI remember one time unintentionally putting aluminum over a bowl in a microwave and sparks came up, I cant imagine what will happen with stainless steel.
no it will cause the average microwave to arc and can spark - you can start a fire or ruin the microwaveHowever, there are some microwaves which you can put metal into, especially if they're combination convection/microwave; but the box instruction pamphlet would clearly state that.
NOOOOOOO!!!!No metal at all in the microwaveIt will arc out and possibly catch your oven on fireAlso be careful using recycled paper towels or paper platesSome of them have little particles of god knows what that will pop, smoke and even start a little blaze.
Manufacturing Engineers normally work in factories, modifying product lines and suchIndustrial engineers might do the same sort of thing but not in a factory setting; they might be on a customer specific projectLike designing crane systems that fit in a preexisting buildingSystem Engineers, would work on a project that would involve very complex systemsLike build any sort of quality test or endurance testing machines that uses electric and hydraulic actuators, and then designs the computer system behind it that could document and control that machineCivil Engineers design structures Buildings, foundations bridges, and they require a license On top of a degree All of theses things a sort of a mix between Electrical and Mech~ Engineers, which are the most common engineering degrees.
Works ok for my coffee mug in my Westinghouse so far.
