Well, I don't kinda agree with your boyfriend views on you getting piercing done. Firstly, I don't think its slutty or something ugly unless and until you show it in that manner(as you have mentioned) and this is something bizarre to know that your boyfriend will break-up with you just because of a small issue as this? Are you guys in a relationship or what? Sorry to say that but he needs to respect your choices and likes as well if he truly loves you. At the same time even you need to respect his choices. So, what i think is, you should talk this out to him, this isn't that big an issue, get to know what's really bothering him over this issue, if possible get to a mutual solution like you can get one piercing done etc. But If he still remains stubborn enough for that break-up thing, then i guess you really need to think about this man in your life. I was taught the same as you were - pointy studs on the outside and road studs on the inside. Although I have never heard of only putting studs only behind and not in front. Stud selection is a lot of art and experience and opinion and there are few hard and fast rules.
