I used to curl the ends of my hair in the 70's, using plastic curlers. I blow dry my hair first, about 75%, then curl my hair. They remained curled while I get dressed, do my makeup, eat my meal. If I didn't want to do that, I slept with curlers (just the ends). I use clips, rubber band them, like perming rods. When it was permed, I towel dry, blow dried for 35%, set my whole hair, get dressed, do my makeup, blow dry my hair again, let my hair cool, take the curlers out finger comb to style. When my curlers are removed, my hair is still 10% damp, but it won't be frizzy for the rest of the day. The curlers was to keep my hair silkier, softer, smoother (not tight curls). If I didn't want to set them in curlers, when it was permed, I towel dry, add gel, scrunch the ends with my fingers, blow dry, put my head down, tousle the hair, blow dry for 5 mins. shake the hair, done.

Dude. I was just discussing this with my home health nurse. Apparently latex free gloves are extremly permeable. She gave me an example. She was working with a feeding tube patient. They use blue food die with the jevity so that when they draw back from the tube they can tell if the stomach is digesting the jevity or not. Well, she used a pair of latex free gloves since that was what was close. She spilled some blue die on her glove. No big deal, right? When she took off that latex free glove, her hand was staind blue. She did extensive research and put together a presentation about it. She discovered that the molecule for that particular blue die was small enough to weep through most latex free gloves. She also discovered that the HIV virus, Hep C and she mentioned a couple others, are smaller than the molecule for that blue dye, making it possible for those viruses to weep through the gloves, and onto the skin of the person wearing them. All surgeons, most docs, and more frequently a lot of nurses are double gloving (I have seen it myself in 3 years of cancer treatment). The first glove latex, the outer latex free for those with allergies.
