What‘s happening when motorcycle one of tyres suddenly explodes due to riding process? Can it even happen or do motorcycle tyres are so hard differently from cars‘ not to explode? Yesterday I just thought about situations when you riding too fast to see any edged barrier and ride on it? Will rider fall from motorcycle then or continue riding, just tyre will slowly release it‘s air? Or it explodes loudly and splashes?
Motorcycle tires have stiffer sides than car tires and are made up of several more layers (plys), so they don't usually come apart the way car tires sometimes do when they go flat. Its rare for a motorcycle tire to blow out or explode. I've had several flats at over 50 mph and noticed them only because the bike handled differently. I rode over 100 miles on a deflated tire, replaced the valve stem ,and used the tire for several thousand more miles.
Motorcycle tires work the same as car tires. No one can tell you the reaction a tire will have when it is not used properly. You maybe lucky with a slow leak or you may have a sudden burst. It really is a matter of how the tire has been treated and where the wear spots are. Also how what punctured the tire. With motorcycles a person needs to be extra careful and avoid dangerous situations like you describe. That is why there is actually a separate test we take for motorcycles where I live. Please use caution, others are in danger too when you drive on the road.
Motorcycle tires are structured differently than car tires. and care procedures along with tire technology should minimize the risk (as well as riding technique and procedure). However, it is possible that you have a complete tire blow out. In that case, there are procedures to follow to ensure that you bring the bike to a safe stop without crashing. If a front tire explodes, you shift your weight towards the back. If a rear tire blows, you stay seated as you are. In either case, you should straighten the bike and keep a firm grip on the handlebars. Apply brake pressure to the wheel without the blown tire (but not too much, as locking the tire would most likely cause a crash. remember, you're already at a loss of traction). You'd be surprised how much control you still have on a motorcycle even with a blown tire.
