and charcoal, but never on hot iron?
when people walk on coal they walk gingerly a layer of ash actually separates their foot from direct contact with the burning coal
iron is a good conductor of heat and electrcity and charcoal is bad conductor. People can walk on hot coal when it's temprature is between 200c-400c so the transfer of heat to human body is slow
Iron has a much higher heat capacity and conductivity than charcoal. When you walk on charcoal, your foot quickly cools the surface of the charcoal. It would not do that with iron.
