and if i buy a new laptop, do i absolutly have to have it?
A media card reader is a device where you can insert the memory card from your camera, camcorder, PDA, etc. and view the contents on it. You can print out pictures from your camera without leaving home. My computer has a media card reader, and it really comes in handy! I would suggest you get one, but you don't need it.
a media card reader reads information you have on a memory stick or card. like if you have a digital camera most likely it has a memory card in it. you take it out and put it in the media card reader and it uploads you music, videos or whatever else to you computer. you don't have it on your laptop.but if you have techonology with memory cards it will be nice to have.
