This Site Might Help You. RE: can chipped ceramic tile be repaired? I have a white ceramic tile (with decorative patterns on one inner corner that match up) that is very old and I will not be able to find replacements for and do not wish to replace. Is it a service generally offered/can it be done with them using paints/cement of some sort? The damage is.
If you have the pieces, yes, or any spares. If you call a good tile store they will of course try to sell you stuff. Tell them you want to restore what is there. I know that there are epoxies out there right that can be tinted for specific colors and that IT IS possible to fill in any type of white and match it virtually perfectly. If they can't help, keep calling around. Fixing any damages to damages in the pattern in the center might be a bit harder, but again, epoxies are tintable. Not paint, but epoxy. (Paint wouldn't last long and wouldn't look that great.) I know this because I have used epoxies to fix some variety of ceramics handed down through the family. It works, and can't tell unless very close up and I doubt lots of people are going to put their head down low enough to eyeball your floor. Don't know what your level of skill or comfort is to fix this yourself; the white part would be easy, matching patterned part would be the tricky stuff. If you live near a college with an art department they may have students that could help you with this at a decent price. They would have the eye to match the colors and the patience and skills to do this properly, especially if they are guided to the right materials. Also see if there are any vocational schools in your area -- they may have recent or past graduates -- it's not like work is abundant out there right now. Good Luck!
Tiatanium. Look online.
Most diy stores will sell enamel touch up paints. The ones with a small brush work the best for a small chip. The chip in the tile floor will be a little more difficult. If it is a small one try the paint. A larger deeper one try grout or caulk. If it really bothers you then a replacement tile may be in the works.
