Question:

What is a usb, card reader and video capture card?

I need help with getting the right stuff for my computer. I want to copy vhs tapes to my computer. Somebody told me to get a video capture card. What does that look like? Do I have to tear open my computer to install the card? And when hunting for a video capture card, some devices said it comes with a usb cable. What the heck is that? Is it like RCA Cable? How hard is it? What is a card reader? I think my computer came with a card reader, I'm not sure. Intel graphics media accelerator 900 is what my computer has. And I have 13in 1 media card reader (what's that?) I'm so stupid, I hope somebody can help me with this. Thank you.

Answer:

If you have the right hardware- you can use a USB, which is just another cord that can plug into almost all computers (usually about 5$ for a cord), other than that- yes you do have to buy a card that supports you running the hardware that you are going to use to copy. a 13in 1 card reader is a piece of hardware that can read many different things including CompactFlash, CompactFlash II, MicrodrMedia, SD, Mini SD, XD, MultiMedia, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo (most of the time) it plugs into your computer using a USB cord that comes with it. just put in one of the above disks into your card reader and it will show the contents on your computer.
Ok, nevermind redunicorn's definition of the video capture card is much clearer. USB the connection on the computer that's sort of a thin rectangle. It's used to connect Cameras, printers, scanners, and most commonly mice to the computer. And a card reader, well it sounds like you already have one. It has multiple slots for different sized flash cards (used in stuff like digital cameras and smaller mp3 players), since different companies and different appliances use the different sized cards. If you really have 13-in-1, then it should cover all the major cards.
a million. located the DVD into the pc. 2. pass into the initiating up Menu and choose the 'pc' folder. 3. detect and appropriate click on the DVD indoors the 'pc' folder, and choose 'come upon'. 4. you will be able to opt to then come upon a rfile, i'm now no longer too helpful what it would desire to be reported as, yet purely click on some which you have faith may well be it, it could the two have a screenshot of the action image because of the reality the icon, or the widely happening media/video icon, purely open some 5. wonderful click on the rfile which you realize is the only, and click on 'duplicate' 6. Then insert your SD Card into the pc, and detect that still on 'pc' 7. enter the SD Card folder by ability of double clicking on it, and then 'wonderful click' in a loose folder or section (If there's a folder reported as video or some concern, then located it in that, because of the reality it may be the default folder the area your MP3 participant properly-knownshows video's) 8. attempt it on your MP3 participant choose I helped :)
USB is the connector. It is flat and is the same connector that attatches the mouse to the keyboard. A video capture card is an storage device. Look at the web sites for pictures.
