WHAT IS COPPER'S HARDNESS/MALLEBILITY (hardness)???????? plz!
Copper hardness is from 2.5-3 on the Mohs Scale (geologist's scale of measuring hardness). That hardness is associated with the definitive mineral Calcite, which can be colloquially measured against a standard fingernail. There is no actual value that measures malleability (no 1 - 10 or anything like that). However, copper is definitely malleable. Material can be qualified as brittle, malleable, ductile, elastic, or sectile. Copper is malleable.
well im not sure if this helps or not but a penny's hardness is a 3 on the Mohs Scale of hardness.
