Some places throw them out or burn them. I would say if you could get $5 each you're doing well, but look on craigslist and see what they're going for in your area.

After that, check with furniture stores, machine shops, factories, etc., they all usually have pallets that they throw away. After that, sometimes rehabilitation places, where they work with disabled people, make pallets, at least they do here in the states.
