What is the best oil additive to protect leaking deisel engine? 300d?
Oil additives are a band-aid solution. While the may work to slow down an oil leak, they do so by thickening up the oil. That can lead to oil starvation damage because the thicker oil now takes a longer time to flow throughout the engine, especially during start-up. Fix the oil leak properly by fixing the source of the problem. Usually it is a bad seal somewhere and depending on its location, can be a relatively cheap and easy fix.
