Question:

What is the difference between the single shaft and the double shaft of the motor?

What is the difference between the single and double shafts of an electric motor? Is there a direct linear relationship with torque, centrifugal force, etc.?.Thank you

Answer:

The double output shaft means that both ends of the motor are output shafts, and there are not two output shafts. This structure is used on certain occasions, such as some old-fashioned cranes.
There is no direct relation between the shaft length at the two ends, the torque, the centrifugal force, etc. the air curtain machine is made of such motors
Some motors need to install speed measuring mechanisms at the other end (such as rotary encoders, etc.) and require double shafts. Some electric traction mechanisms use eddy current braking, and the eddy brake is installed at the other end of the motor. And so forth.
