Portland Cement is the most common cement used to make concrete.
My dad gets help from the rest of the family to help build a room for a Jacuzzi and the bottom under the tiles would be cement. The cement we use is portland. It works great, but it has to have a certain texture or wetness for certain types of jobs. For example we are also putting up a wall and that cement has to be a bit drier than the type of cement that you would use for a floor. For a floor you need to add gravel or anything like that to keep the floor strong and resistant to cracking.
