We have an area rug over a carpet, no rubber underlaying, it's just a rug over a carpet. The rug is starting to curl/crease/wrinkle in the middle. Why is that? It was a fairly cheap rug. Is that why? Or because we have nothing under it but carpet? Something else?
sorry for giggling we had this situation and my husband gave the greater youthful woman in upstairs flat 6 carpet products to place decrease than her mattress. We didn`t decide for to take heed to that it places you off your stride
I am not sure what is wrong with it but my brother was having that problem and he decided to place it exactly where he wanted it and then he used a nail gun and tacked it down on the 4 corners and it has been a great resolution. Try it out!
Yes it helps to have something under it like a rug pad. It is probably creeping on the floor, a rug pad or rubber bottom should anchor it in place better
May be the quality, may be spot with most traffic area or . . probably too thin of an area rug. The thickness and weight of an area rug would stay flat better. You may need some sort of padding, or something stiff that you can use two sided tape to stick to back of area rug. Cardboard may work but then the area rug would have a slippery 'backing' and may not stay put.
