Question:

What PSI should you run in motorcycle tires?

I have a Kawasaki ZX-11 and I just got it out for the summer. I checked the tires and they were really low (about 25 psi front, 30 rear). I noticed after filling them up to the recommended 40/40 the bike feels much heavier and in some/many ways harder to control on the corners (I pretty much live on a mountain). The rear tire is new and the front is due for replacement sometime this year. The bike weighs 585-615lbs wet, and I don‘t weigh enough to really anger the thing. I want to stick with the lower PSI as I like the feel of it. I know about the dangers of running exceedingly low PSI in the tires (thinking 25psi or less), but I want to know a low, yet safe, PSI I can run on it town and on the mountain. Thanks in advance!
