The differnces are described in whatever standard you are using ASME B31.3 31.8?? Lower slobovia standards.
I agree with the others, my buddies and I went to evike and my friend had prescriptions on the guy said he good to go in the shooting range
Even for shooting with real rifles, prescription glasses are considered adequate protection by most organizations as long as you also wear a brimmed hat to stop falling debris/casings from falling in behind the lens. With airsoft that would be less of a concern and most would consider prescription glasses to be plenty. However, if you want safety glasses, there are many kinds of safety glasses/goggles designed to be worn overtop of prescription glasses. There is no need to go spend significant money on prescription safety glasses. To be clear, I am talking about target shooting with airsoft. Getting shot at with airsoft is a whole different thing, and you need eye protection designed specifically for that, using lexan lenses and fully surrounding protection. I'm sure this is not what you're talking about, but any answer should include this info so that some misguided kid doesn't come on here and think they can play airsoft with woodshop goggles on!
