Have you watched the movie Face Off with Nicolas Cage? If not, give it a try. Without being sure, I'm pretty convinced you would die long before fresh tissue would appear. The skin is our largest organ and extremely important. It's our shield so to speak and without it, we'll catch all kinds of bacterias. If a face was ripped off, there would be so much infection in no time. And with no eyelids, the eyes would dry out. Anyways I saw a documentary once, from a plastic surgeons clinic. We saw the doctor literally roll the face off a girl. It was so gross. But that's what they do to change looks. Then he put some stuff on the cheeks etc and rolled the face back on and stitched her up. Perhaps it's on youtube. You should see it.
