A company are coming over to do it next week and i'm going to offer to help. I was just wondering, do I need a mask or gloves? If yes, why and what type? Thanks.
Fire alarm handles should not be behind glass. They should have easy access. Anybody should be able to pull the handle and there is no age limit on who can pull the handle. Fire hoses are sometimes behind glass.
Call your local fire chief or fire marshal. We had one supplied to us in North Carolina.
I live in Texas and it's not required. I've been a renter my whole life and never lived in an apartment where they furnished fire extinguishers.
I'm not sure about your area. Call your local fire department. Or Fire Marshall. Ask them about the laws. Here in California, There must be fire extinguishers mounted outside of the apartments.
