I need to know what stores sell steering wheel covers, preferably racing ones or anything not fuzzy
i saw them in auto zone the other day.
Oh Baby! I've got the steering wheel cover for you! The are called Wheel Skins. Go to their website and you can pick out genuine leather wheel covers in either solid or perforated leather. They have various colors so you'll be able to select something that will match your interior perfectly. Let me warn you however. These covers need to be stitched on the wheel around the inside diameter. They send needles and special high strength waxed tough as nails woven string to do the job. If I can do it so can you. The very good instructions explain how to stitch around the spokes of the wheel so that it'll look like a factory job. I had to cover the fake leather wheel in by car as the foam type plastic began to look like crap and it became sticky. The new Wheel Skin added a slight amount of thickness to the steering wheel. I've never had a genuine leather covered steering wheel but it was worth the wait. Your hands never sweat and the feel of the wheel is beyond belief. I use to re-string baseball and softball gloves for kids in town and in some cases they were in pretty sad condition. With the proper kooks and wire pullers and my stack of various sizes of leather string we always seemd to get them back in shape.
