Question:

What would cause a smoke detector to go off if there was no smoke or fire?

This morning my smoke detector went off full blast for no reason! I had just changed the batteries 2 weeks ago. What would cause this?

Answer:

I don't think that showing skin is degrading to women in general. I wear a bikini when I go on the beach. I don't believe it is unreasonable to say that I am considered a very attractive woman. I just don't show all, which is my particular preference. Perhaps it is an American phenomenon Additionally, my particular views have more to do with magazines whose sole purpose is to play to the stereotypes about what a woman should look like, and, like The Violinist said, place unreasonable standards upon women. Many of the men who are buying magazines such as Playboy, etc. are not thinking wow she must be so empowered to be able to do this. They are thinking nice , nice . Usually the nice things are bought and paid for. And as for the careers that are started by that magazine I can't really think of that many famous people who started out there and made it huge. There are certainly plenty of women who were already semi famous and then posed in there. The only person I can think of off of the top of my head is Gene Simmon's wife, who also did soft porn.
I wouldn't say that it is absolutely necessary to use a torque wrench, but it is highly advisable. In using a torque wrench you eliminate the chance that the bolts are not tightened enough to stay on properly, remember your wheels and tires are what keeps you on the road and in control. Now what is also significant is to not over-tighten the lug nuts as well. This helps when it comes time to remove those lug nuts as it will be a whole lot easier if they are not over tightened and you can't get them off, or you break a stud when trying and it can damage the threads on the stud and nut. If you have steel wheels, over-tightening lug nuts will cause the wheel to warp and potentially cause vibrations while driving. Other wheels can also be damaged by over-tightening too by digging in too deep or scarring the wheel's holes. The torque settings vary from vehicle to vehicle and wheel to wheel. Usually around 90 to 100 pounds is recommended (your owner's manual should have the proper specifications for your car and the wheels it came with, but if they have been replaced with a different type wheel, you need to check with that wheel's vendor for the recommended torque values.) If you are out on the road and have to change your tire, just tighten them the best you can (I'd rather they be over-tightened than not enough) and get it checked/redone with a torque wrench when you get to where you can check them. Remember to also tighten the lug nuts in a criss-cross type method (i.e. kind of an every other nut type pattern till you get them all 1,3,5,2,4 type sequence) never just one after the other in order 1,2,3,4,5) Hope that answers things for you.
a torque wrench is to mesure how tight the nuts will be on your car and to ensure that you will not srip the ridges inside of the nut
