Question:

What year did the Department of Defense (Military) require smoke detectors in ALL &on base& housing units?

Wasn't it 1980 in all new base homes I know that ALLdormatories were REQUIRED to have them installed effective on January 1, 1985. This standard falls in the catagory of hotels and motels sleeping rooms per N.F.P.A. standards. And also I know that ALL on base military home had to have sprinkler systems installed since January 1, 1990 under DoD requirements.

Answer:

The method my grandparents used to use was to position a fan right next to the detector, that blows air FROM the detector TO the kitchen area. A better option is to replace the detector closest to the kitchen with one designed for use near a stove.
If if you're looking for high quality glasses for a cheap price. As a first time experience, it might feel a bit awkward and a bit intimidating but after a while you'll be able to see clearly (no pun intended) that the quality is just as good as your local store/brand name glasses and it will save you a lot of money.
Well if you have a contact lens prescription you probably have a glasses prescription as well, as for the cost, it depends on the store you go to. Good luck
That's a loaded question. Well, first, if you got a contact lens exam you also got a refraction which means you already have your glasses Rx. No further charge. Now, you can get two pair of glasses for around $99 or so OR you can get an Armani frame with transition lenses and Anti-Reflective coating in 1.67 hi index material for about $550 or anywhere in-between. Depends on what type of quality you want.
