Whats less expensive as far as roofing, screw down metal roofing or basic shingle roofing?
i just had a tin roof put on my home, and it came out cheaper than the shingles would of been
do you live in an area where there is alot of sulpher in the water. If so you should change to PVC piping
Thank you China for the cheap non consistent pipe and the corroding, poison dry wall. Too bad there is too many green crap laws in the US for any company to make this stuff here and stay in business, thank you hippies. You need to look into the dry wall recall it could be causing the pipes to leak.

depends on the metal like shingles there are many types and grades screw down metal ( as opposed to soldered ) is always cheaper than shingles to INSTALL ( assuming you are talking about sheets not shingles ) and usually the basic galvanized 'tin' or aluminum is cheaper per square to purchase high quality metal ( copper coated - anodized - copper ) is more expensive but can be cheaper in the long run ( except for copper sheet which is outrageous in cost ) due to its 50-75 year lifespan ( shingles 15-25 years )
