i heard that 60 gb and 80 gb ps3s have mem card readers(memory stick pro duo)? whats so good about that when you already have 60-80 gb of space.?? also, whats the point of having more than 1 usb slot in the ps3?
first im going to provide it to you immediately in case your going to get a ps3 then purely get an 80 gb. I genuinely have it and that i have a 360. you do not purchase a soda have finished and to assert that you want the finished potential on your money.the memery card readers are for like %. and song like on a computer.
I'm not totally sure which your talking about, but its either the internal memory cards that you set up so that you can save ps2/ps games, or its the thing so that if you have a memory card adaptor to get old ps2/ps saves onto your ps3, it can read it. And the extra usb slots are for additional controllers/headsets/etc.
The Flash Card Readers are to transfer data through the memory sticks instead of a USB source and the extra USB slots are there for convenience, if you needed to charge 2 controllers at once. If you want to also charge your iPod at the same time, and if you wanted to transfer files through a media device, it's all about convenience and relevance
If you have a digital camera or other electronic device that uses Flash Cards, you can easily transfer data to your PS3 by just simply putting the Flash Card into the PS3's flash card slots. If you have a electronic device that uses flash cards and you have a PS3 that doesn't have the flash card slots, you would have to transfer the data to a USB drive first before you could copy the data to the PS3's hard drive. Sony didn't have to put the Flash Card readers in the PS3, but Sony makes Digital Cameras, Laptops, and Camcorders that use the Flash Card's, so it kind of makes sense that they put the flash card readers in the PS3 so that you could easily transfer data to the PS3's hard drive and copy info on the PS3's hard drive back to the flash card.
It is useful when transferring data like pictures and things. Remove card from camera side into memory slot. and there are multiple card readers not just Sony cards. I use the USB slots for a key board and another for the mouse and some times I charge my iPod.
