What’s the difference between ceramic wool and rock wool?

What’s the difference between ceramic wool and rock wool?

Answer:

Rock wool and ceramic wool are all used for insulation and the main difference between them is the working temperature. Comparatively speaking, rock wool’s working temperature is 650℃, lower than that of ceramic wool, which can reach 1450℃. But the thermal conductivity of rock wool is lower than that of ceramic wool. So, rock wool is usually used for wall insulation, and ceramic wool can be used in high temperature environments of all kinds of furnaces.
