Been many discussions about exactly this topic here the general consensus is that yes- metal sub-genres are WAY outta hand. Metal seems to gain a new one almost daily. I even heard of one called Nintendocore.. ...*Nintendocore*! Also, just for the record, metal IS a sub-genre of rock. Not a totally seperate genre unto itself. :) But I think having heavy metal listed as a sub-sub-genre is plain ridiculous. ALL of it is Heavy Metal. coldwave? That's a new one for me...
You fogot Viking Metal, Melodic Death Metal (Melodeath) Folk Metal. The subdivisions aint that confusing, it dont bother me I listen to any. Actually I think Ill invent a new type of metal right now... Hmmm... Frost Metal? Meh...
