Heat won't cause a smoke detector to go off - but it will trip a heat detector (it's possible that you have a combination heat/smoke detector). It would have to get pretty hot though - you should be able to feel it. If a lot of dust gets inside a TV it could possibly be putting out a tiny amount of smoke. Try moving and/or replacing the detector, and maybe consider unplugging the TV when you are gone - just in case. (edit: first answer regarding the remote control sounds pretty far-fetched, but still worth looking into)

I have owned smoke detectors that you can test by pointing any TV remote control at them and hitting a button. Maybe your detector has this feature and the TV remote is setting it off.
