On the Parts Required it says Switch, Door Lock Cylinder, Passenger Side, Durango (I've entered this in the search with no luck on finding a store that sells one) also the part number is 56049278AA and nothing comes up with this number. Please help.

They do not need to be protected from radiation. The radiation from uranium is totally insignificant unless unless you get the stuff inside your body (e.g., by inhaling dust/smoke, or by consuming contaminated food/beverages).
I would have found the idea of wearing a helmet in a car laughable, except that some idiot in government and some stupid special interest group might get together and pass such a law.
