I'm looking for a way to join two pieces of PVC or metal pipe, and allow them to fold up. I have looked everywhere for something or the kind, and I know I've seen them used on folding hockey nets and stuff. Any suggestions?
I really can't say what happened if the tire doesn't show any leaks under water. I happen to have a liner between my tire and tube, and it's worked very well for me. I bought it from a bike shop, and I'd call it almost a leathery plastic rather than a rubber- it is much tougher than the tube material, more comparable to the tire material and very slick and smooth. It is no thicker than if you measured two layers of inner tube. You may have a slow leak that you missed in the water, and you could even have a damaged valve. I find it very doubtful that the rubber sheet had some material incompatibility that caused air to leak out only while installed- but it is widely understood that if you ride on under-inflated tires, or if the tube gets pinched between the rubber and the tube, the liners will pinch or wear holes in the tubes.
To semi-permanently disable the alarm without disabling the panic button on your remote simply ground the green/black wire at the hood switch. You can do this anywhere in the circuit. I grounded mine by clipping a wire to the wire right under the switch using a scotchlok blue connector and then grounding it to the nearest bolt right under it. This sends a hood open signal to the Anti-theft module which will never arm as long as it sees the hood open. Unplugging the hood switch as David B. said will not work since that would send a hood closed signal to the Anti-theft module. Grounding the hood signal wire only disables the anti-theft mode but your remote will retain all other functions. Should you be in bad neighborhood and want to arm the alarm again simply snip the grounding wire you put in and it will restore the anti-theft system to normal operation. Microsoft Access is a powerful program to create and manage your databases.It has many built in features to assist you in constructing and viewing your information. You can store your data in that. Advantages:::: 1. It is significantly cheaper to implement and maintain compared to larger database systems such as Oracle or SQL Server. 2. Fairly complex databases can be setup and running in 1/2 the time and cost of other large database systems (the simpler the database the greater the cost advantage). 3. Access integrates well with the other members of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). 4. When designed correctly, Access databases can be ported (usually with some difficulty) to SQL Server or Oracle. Disadvantages: 1. Poor relational design, too much duplicated data, no (appropriate) primary keys. 2. Using a Microsoft Access template database that doesn't perfectly fit your needs (no template does!). 3. Attempt to overly control the database forms with custom controls for everything like: deleting records; moving to the next record; adding records 4. Use of weird color combinations on forms and screen backgrounds making the information on the screen difficult to read.
