The plastic control that you spin from free to lock to engage 4WD is damaged, and will allow dirt in. Where can I find this part without replacing the entire hub?

They fur make great socks - very warm. I got a pair of possum socks as a present from New Zealand. Apparently, over there, possums are a real pest but at least they are useful in keeping your feet warm. Cheers from Australia spellcheck told me Zealand doesn't exist. Grrrr
