The amd bulldozer (6 core 3.8 ghz) looks good , however I'm reading alot of people recommend the i5 2500 (3.30 sandybridge) .Or any alternatives to these ? Thanks .
i5 sandybridge would be the better choice because it is reliable you can also go for the i7 processor .It is better than all of them
the amd is fine. the graphics mean more than the processor when you reach a certain point. then things like heat stress,power consumption and other things become more important. so go for the amd, it will work just fine. i always buy amd now that there processors are better in many ways then intel and the graphics are far superior.more power isnt always better if the etra power goes to waste,your just wasting your money then.
Core i5 on an 1155 motherboard is the best you can run right now... it will run circles around anything out there including the i7. The bulldozer isn't bad but can be a little quirky.
I wouldn't think you need more than a 3.30 I only have a 3.2
i5 2500 is the best choice for gaming..
