Question:

Why can't I tolerate wind in my face?

When I try to ride without a face shield on my helmet, I sometimes have a problem with feeling the wind on my face. It's just around my nose and mouth, but it feels like I need to gasp for breath. When I was a kid, I had the same problem when I'd go swimming; if I was just splashing around, I was fine, but the minute I tried to actually swim and I could feel the water against my nose and mouth, I'd start gasping again and nearly choke. No one I know has ever heard of such a thing, so I'm asking here.

IIRC the 'Thompson Lightning Protection` Catalogue has good diagrams and 'how to` tips. There are a lot of small things of which you should be aware. Look particularly at bodies of inductance and routing of down conductors. It is probably a lot better to buy the hardware than to make it from scratch, and any outfit you buy from should offer at least some design advice if you ask for it.
You proberly cant. The school has done this for a reason. They may have the services of an IP professional, or a teacher to monitor all internet usage. Be careful.
