Question:

Why cant you use lift blocks on a front axle to lift a truck?

i have a 1990 dodge w250 and want to add about 4 to 6 in of lift. i really want to use blocks to get the extra hieght but i keep seeing that lift blocks should only be used on the rear axle.

Answer:

The front axle takes a lot of side load and it can spit the blocks right out. You can use blocks in the front if it has a front panhard bar because it keeps the axle centered. My friend has an f-350 dually with 6 blocks in the front and a panhard bar.
