Question:

Why did I have trouble pulling the fire alarm handle down in a fire?

In a fire the fire alarm directions said push in then pull down. I first pushed in the button and let go thinking I could pull it straigt down after pushing the plate/ button on. When this did not work I pushed in the button and pulled straight down following the arrows the handle did not go down so I pushed in the button pulled the handle or towards me and then I pulled it down and it worked. Am I the only one who had an issue as I did not know you had to pull it out and down. Do all fire alarms have you pull it out and down? My mom tried pushing it in and straight down but it did not work so she had me do it again as I said i could try it again.

Answer:

I don't disagree, entirely. A good quality bike is less trouble to ride for long distances and over an extended period of time than a Huffy though. I'd use some of that savings to get a Trek or Specialized commuter, you won't regret it. I do about fifty miles a week to work and then use mass transit to get home at night. Being car free is an estimated savings of $8000 per year in my area due to insurance, registration, parking, and of course, the cost of the car. Addendum: Drivers don't like people riding bicycles because they don't obey traffic laws. You've never seen a car driver speed?
there may be a shortage in the wiring. take it back where you bought it and let them check it out.
What kind of smoke does it smell like? If it smells electrical, I'd be worried. But some fog machines do create a smell, depending on what's used to make the fog. Some people barely notice it but some can really smell it. I used to work on movie sets where they use fog machines a lot, and they used to always have a pretty distinctive smell though these days they are using less toxic stuff than they did. Check the manual, see what it says about the machine producing an odor.
