why do we need to recycle metals ?
Black Metal. I had some trouble deciding which I like better. But sure Death Metal has all the technicality and cool riffs but then I discovered symphonic/melodic black metal. Death Metal is beginning to bore me easily too much blast beats and same old guitar. But Black Metal is sooo intense and really it's not all about technicality it's about the emotion that isn't put into any kind of music as much as black metal. And just the sound of high distortion and screeches grabs my ear right away. Sure Death Metal has solos that's cool. But not as good as the primary sound aimed for in Black Metal. And plus synths fcking rule. BM: Nykalgia DM: Death
I like Black Metal much more than Death Metal but I am a fan of both. I think BM has much more feel and atmoshpere. I have a love/hate relationship with death metal, I'm very picky about the bands I listen to. So I don't listen to a whole lot, but I love the ones that I do listen to. BM: 1349 DM: Bloodbath
Death metal hands down,There are soo many reason's why i love it.The complexity of the guitar[s],Melody of the bass,The sheer power of the drumming and the PURE bruatality of teh vocals but In DM i don't look at the vocals as a 'lyrics distributer' as i look at it more of an instrument itself . I found out something interesting,if the band name[logo] is all crunched up together that means the band is awsome :P BUT i also really like BM but most of the time i don't like bm bands is the vocals, there are some that are unique and powerful. such a hard choice i love both so much but i suppose i will pick Death metal only because i have more favorite bands in general from it then Black metal although i love the atmosphere of BM and some of the sub genres a bit more in the BM genre but i love the vocals in Death Metal more and love the way it sounds a bit more then some BM and i like the way Death metal works guitars in the music better the BM and plus DM just get's me pumped where as BM kinda puts me in a more relaxed mood for some reason BM: Summoning DM: Impetigo even though some of there work is considered more old school Grindcore a lot of people also say they are Death metal so i am picking them cause they are one of my favorite bands ever and i just love there sound and i don't think i go a day without listening to at least one song by them
The two are my favourite genres, but I would have to say that black metal is my favourite. I got into black metal first, and I prefer the various sub-genres of black metal (ambient, depressive, folk, orthodox, bestial, etc) compared to death metal which seems to have fewer branches. I prefer the vocals in black metal and find that it tends to have more intelligent lyrics (if you ignore the satanic bands). I far prefer the guitar and drum work in death metal, but for me lyrics and vocals are the most important thing. I read an interesting analogy in Terrorizer magazine recently: Death metal is like f*cking a lucious, taned, curvy chick; black metal is like f*cking a pale, emanicated, anorexic girl with no t*ts or *ss. I would agree with that statement, but the fact is that I like my metal anaemic and delicate. BQ: Bm is Coldworld; Dm is Bloodbath
