That ammount of vents may be enough so long as the weather up in NJ doesn't get above 75 degrees in the summerSoffit vents help to circulate the air in the attic and help to remove any trapped hot air that might make it's way into your house and raise your cooling costsIf you don't have very hot summers, which I suspect you don't, then I believe what you have is enough.
