I decided to listen to heavy metal today; not sure what band, I just typed heavy metal into Pandora. To me, the music sounded like someone was putting metal into a blender. The lyrics sounded exactly like the sound that a Hog makes when it is being slaughtered. Does all heavy metal sound this bad?
System of a down, Pantera, Metallica, Flogging Molly (not metal), Rage Against the Machine. I don't know who mudvayne is though
My favorite band and has good lyrics is Metallica. Best Metal Band!
You must have a real misguided view of metal. not all metal bands are screaming and growling, I'm sorry. almost all metal bands have clearly understandable vocals. the subgenres of Death metal, nu metal, black metal, metalcore and all related subgenres are the only ones with remotely undecipherable vocals.
dragonforce have clean vocals. but if u like mudvayne i guess u could check out some of the other nu metal bands. search for mudvayne on last fm. and you will get a list of similar bands.although i think i have heard mudvayne do a variety of vocal styles on different albums.
Mudvayne... not metal... Anyways, in actuality most of the metal scene is located either in the death or black scene so the majority are undecipherable to people who don't listen to metal. If you actually listened to metal almost all vocals can be understood. You should stick to the hard rock ish stuff, since metal is not what your looking for. listen to other numetal bandsl ike Godsmack, Spineshank, Disturbed... cause most metal bands are hard to understand to the untrained ear.
