Why is it that if you wear boy clothes people think your lesbian?
Do you have an attorney? If you do, contact your attorney ASAP because what your soon to be ex is doing is illegal. Your spouse cannot change the locks on the home and neither can you. If you don't have an attorney, I strongly suggest that you get one quick. Your soon to be ex and their attorney are using shady tactics and taking advantage of you. And as for the police, don't call them until you have consulted with an attorney. Then have your attorney call them that carries more weight. Oooooohhhh, when you finally get to court, the judge is going to have a temper tantrum over these antics! The judge will NOT look favorably on your soon to be ex, and the attorney will more than likely get raked over the coals. Best wishes.
because the cat burglar would go home empty handed and drink herself stupid and cry and thatjustisn'tsuspenseful
She can't do this it's against the law, you need to talk to someone maybe a neighbor who has an extra key, and the second thing if they just told you to move out you should have said no. It's still half your house unless you sell or she gets the house in court.
your spouse has no legal claim to bar you from the property, period. the proof that you need is that your name is on the title, with your social security number. what most likely is going to happen here is that the house will be sold and the proceeds split down the middle. this is outrageous! your soon to be ex probably figured that you would take his attorney at face value and not fight back. tell the attorney they've got another thing coming.
If you are still legally married than you don't really need to show much other than maybe a marriage certificate to the police to show them you are married to the owner of this house and as such half of it is yours. However, if you don't have that but have the deed to the house showing both of your names on it, then that should work. Was this house purchased before you two were married? If this house was bought before you two were married by your spouse, unfortunately it is actually not half yours. So be clear on those issues when addressing this problem with police.
