Question:

why the tire of motorcycle is usually bigger than car?

why the tire of motorcycle is usually bigger than car?

Answer:

The wheels on my motorcycles have always been 18 rear, 19 front. Until I got the Harley with the 17 rear. It has to do with handling, engine size and gearing. Larger diameter wheels are easier handling. At highway speed, a car on 15 wheels might have it's engine spinning at 2000rpm, while the motorcycle will be spinning closer to 4000.
Not always true anymore. Have you seen the wheels and tires that come on newer cars and pickups? The wheels on your average motorcycle are 15 or 16 inches in diameter, while many new cars come with 17-20 inch wheels
