Will a Ford Ranger 1990-1995 axle shaft fit in my Ford Mustang (7.5 axle shaft 1997) . If not are there any other cars or trucks i can take one out of?Thanks a Million Daniel
find the specs for your mustang's shaft and see if they match the specs for the ranger shaft. i would just find a mustang shaft. why would you want to put a ranger shaft on your mustang anyway?
This is a good question.I was told once that ONE side of a rangers axle would fit a mustang rear if you were wanting to convert it to a 5 bolt from a 4 bolt but this was mentioned to me being done on an 8.8 Ford Mustang rear(5.0 models).Im not sure if this is true or not.I was also told that one of the rangers axles was longer than the other.Once again im not sure if this is true.I would like to see the other answers to this.
you recommend the axle housing dont you? the axle is only a c-clip kind axle. once you eliminate the third member cover, you'll see a huge equipment and different issues. seem proper of the equipment, its kinda a cage. rotate it until eventually you spot a bolt. that bolt holds the vivid bevel equipment shaft, which is called a pinion shaft even even though it doesnt really have something to do with the pinion. use a 6 factor socket in case you could and unfasten with a tap from a hammer(placed it decrease back a similar way, tapping with a hammer or it is going to loosen) at the same time as its out, turn 100 and eighty stages, and punch out the shaft about an inch. rotate it 100 and eighty stages and use a punch contained in the hollow contained in the shaft to wiggle it out. the bevel gears might want to just about fall out. now pass on your outer axle, installation a c-clamp shoving it in. now pass decrease back to the middle and also you may see the c-clip. it may even fall out at this factor, and if it doesnt, use a p.c and magnet to retrieve it, then launch the c-clamp and pull.
