I'm getting ceramic braces (just on top teeth) in a week and wondering if ceramic will be easier on the mouth vs. metal ???????????
Ceramic braces were like heaven for me. If you perform or plan on it in life, on stage you can't even see them. when people saw me in school, they could barely see them either. My ortho told me that metal would scratch against upper cheeks and give you outside and inside cold sores and whatnot. Also, metal doesn't really look good in pictures, because it looks like you have a metal mouth. I would completely recommend ceramic braces, you just want to make sure you take care of your teeth, and they will come out beautiful! Hope this helps(:
The Toyota definitely. You are getting a better vehicle for $5000 less. Why spend more on a honda when you can get a vehicle that is mirrored in quality with the Honda.
They're just about the same considering how rough they are on the inside of the mouth. It doesn't depend so much on the material as much as the fact that there is something rubbing against your mouth. However, this only lasts a week or so and you shouldn't base your decision entirely upon this. Consider if the extra price will be worth the discreet look of ceramic vs. metal brackets. Good luck :)
I think ceramic braces are a little easier to deal with. If they do hurt your mouth, ask your orthodontist for wax. All you have to do is put it over the bracket(s) that is(are) causing you trouble. Make sure you take small pieces first, and warm them up by kneading them between your fingers so they stick better. It also helps if you slightly dry the bracket off first. My sister had metal braces, and she used wax all the time. I had ceramic, and I barely used the wax at all. Mine broke into tiny pieces when the orthodontist tried to take them off though. I guess it's like a trade off. Though I've never heard of anyone else's ceramic braces breaking when they tried to remove them. Use wax! Hope this helps you!
The Odyssey is best in class.
