Question:

Will Home Depot or Menards cut a brick in half for you?

I am doing some bricks around my mail box, they are plain rectangular bricks. I need to get one cut in half to make them go around perfectly around. Will Home Depot or Menards so it? Thanks! If so how much do they charge to do it.

Answer:

Most racers I know use either Look or Speedplay. I prefer Look, but that's a personal choice. I think you can get into the Look system for a lower price because there are lots of brands that are compatible with the Look cleat system, creating competition in the marketplace. Why do some models cost more than others? Mostly weight. The more expensive models may also have better bearings. I've used the less expensive models for many years without any problem. HTH
I guess you didn't say whether getting out was an option. ~I would keep the area around the books/documents wet, and it that didn't work, I would grab the handwritten Jefferson for sure and get out of there. I would actually grab as much as I could and get out. I have a total soft spot for TJ. ~Or I would get some fabric wet, try to protect the books under wet fabric, or somehow get water around them without getting them wetyou have made me a bit sad thinking about this!
